With more than 18 years of teaching experience, I bring a great blend of knowledge, compassion, and enthusiasm to discussions with students.  My students know me as a patient, caring, encouraging, and inspiring teacher; and because of this, I have developed a longstanding, positive rapport with students.

I have had the privilege of working with students in grades 5-12 and in all levels of math typical for these grades.  From Prealgebra to Calculus I and II, the rewards have been rich while helping students build their confidence and unlock their own potential.  I have earned both a bachelor's and master's degree in secondary math education; but the most profound personal and professional growth has come from working with over 1200 students in my teaching career.  Each student offers a unique way of thinking mathematically; and working with the individual student is what has inspired me most as a teacher.
